Pricing & Estimates
What does window cleaning cost in the Boardman–Youngstown area?
Most homes in the Boardman–Youngstown area run $150–$350 for full interior and exterior cleaning, and exterior-only service starts around $75–$125 for smaller homes. Where you land in that range depends on the factors in the next question — which is why we quote every home individually, for free, instead of guessing over the phone.
What actually affects the price of my window cleaning?
Four things, in order of impact: window count (a Poland colonial has far more panes than a Boardman ranch), stories and access (second-story and steep-lot windows take more time and equipment), screens and storm windows (each one is removed, washed, and reinstalled), and condition (post-construction debris or years of buildup takes longer than maintenance cleaning). Interior-plus-exterior costs more than exterior-only because it roughly doubles the glass.
Is the estimate really free, and how does it work?
Yes — free and no-commitment for any home or business in our service area. Call (330) 559-8773 or send the estimate form, and we'll respond within one business day, usually scheduling the estimate the same week. You get a clear price before any work is booked, and there's no obligation to move forward.
Is it cheaper to bundle windows with gutters or pressure washing?
Generally yes. When the crew, ladders, and water are already at your house, adding a gutter clean-out or a driveway wash to the same visit costs less than booking each service on a separate day. Most of our fall customers bundle exterior windows with gutter cleaning for exactly this reason — ask for combined pricing when you request your estimate.
Scheduling & Service Day
How quickly can you get to my house?
Faster than most, honestly — and it's not magic, it's math. With 20+ team members running routes from our Boardman shop, we can absorb busy weeks that would back up a one-truck operation for a month. Most estimates happen the same week you call, and jobs are typically scheduled shortly after.
What happens if it rains on my scheduled day?
Two things worth knowing. First, rain itself doesn't dirty clean windows — spots come from dirt already on the glass, so a light shower after a professional cleaning won't undo the work. Second, if weather makes the job unsafe or would compromise the result — heavy rain, high wind, ice — we'll contact you to reschedule promptly rather than deliver work we'd have to redo. Northeast Ohio weather is a fact of life; we plan around it every week.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Only for interior work. Exterior window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing can all be done while you're at work — just leave gates unlocked and we'll handle the rest. For interior-and-exterior service, someone needs to let us in, and we recommend being there for the final walk-through so you can approve the work in person.
How should I prepare before the crew arrives?
Very little. For interior service, clearing fragile items, plants, and décor off window sills saves time and protects your things. For exterior work, unlock any gates, and keep pets indoors or secured while ladders are up — for their safety and our crew's. That's it; we bring everything else.
Can windows be cleaned in an Ohio winter?
Yes. Professional cleaning solutions work in cold temperatures, and winter is actually a smart season for interior glass, mirrors, and chandelier cleaning — the work most people put off. Exterior work continues through winter too, weather permitting; we schedule around ice and severe cold the same way we schedule around summer storms.
How long does a typical window cleaning take?
It depends on window count, stories, and whether we're doing interior and exterior — but most single-family homes take a few hours, not all day. Because we size the crew to the job, larger homes and combined visits (windows plus gutters plus pressure washing) usually still finish within a single morning or afternoon.
What's Included
What exactly is included in a full-service window cleaning?
Interior and exterior glass hand-cleaned pane by pane, screens removed, washed, and reinstalled, and sills and tracks wiped down. Storm windows — common on the Valley's older homes — are handled too. The job ends with a walk-through where you inspect everything before the crew leaves.
Can you remove hard water spots and mineral stains from glass?
Often, yes — sprinkler overspray and mineral deposits can usually be treated beyond what standard cleaning removes. The honest caveat: if hard water has sat on glass for years, it can permanently etch the surface, and no cleaner can undo etching. Point out the affected windows during your free estimate and we'll tell you frankly what's recoverable and what isn't.
What specialty glass and fixtures do you clean besides windows?
Skylights (inside and out), chandeliers and fine light fixtures, mirrors, ceiling fans, and storm windows — plus post-construction window detailing for new builds and remodels. Chandelier cleaning in particular is a service almost nobody else in the Mahoning Valley offers, and it pairs naturally with an interior window cleaning visit.
Does gutter cleaning include the downspouts?
Yes — a clean gutter with a clogged downspout is a gutter that still overflows. We clear the gutter runs by hand, flush and flow-test the downspouts, and haul the debris away. In the Valley, with our oaks and maples, we recommend this every fall after leaf drop and ideally again in late spring.
Trust & Guarantee
Who is Picture Perfect Window Cleaning?
Picture Perfect Window Cleaning, LLC is an independent local company — not a franchise — based at 6960 Market Street in Boardman, OH 44512. The team has grown to 20+ trained members over more than 10 years serving the Mahoning Valley, cleaning windows, gutters, and exteriors for homes and businesses from Youngstown to Warren to Sharon, PA.
Are you licensed and insured, and can you prove it?
Yes and yes. We're fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial work throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request — standard practice for our commercial clients, property managers, and builders, and available to any homeowner who asks. If a company hesitates on that question, keep shopping.
What's your satisfaction guarantee?
Simple: you approve the work before we leave. Every job ends with a walk-through — you inspect the glass with the crew, and anything that isn't right gets fixed on the spot at no charge. Spot something after we've gone? Call (330) 559-8773 and we'll make it right. No fine print, no re-clean scheduling runaround.
Will you damage my older or original windows?
This is exactly the work we're known for. Youngstown, Struthers, and Girard are full of pre-war homes with original wood-sash windows, fragile glazing, and wavy antique glass — and our crews hand-clean them with techniques suited to old glass, not spray-and-scrape shortcuts. One of our most-quoted reviews is from a Youngstown homeowner whose almost 90-year-old windows we cleaned.
Didn't Find Your Question?
Every home is a little different — and some questions are easier answered by looking at your actual windows. Call the shop on Market Street or send the form, and you'll get an answer from someone who's cleaned a thousand Valley homes, not a chatbot.
